HTML5 frameworks an overview (part IV): let's ... Initializr

An html5 framework is a pre-built set of pages in html5 with a highly structured css/css3 and some enhances and features added by javascript, so it's not only html5 but concerns a set of technologies always more strictly integrated.

As written in the previous post if HTML5Boilerplate gives you a great back-end and Bootstrap provides a wonderful front-end: why not mix them?

There's a thread on Quora where Nicolas Gallagher, Core developer on HTML5 Boilerplate, explains step by step why is possible and refers to: Initializr .

"Initializr is an HTML5 templates generator to help you getting started with a new project based on HTML5 Boilerplate. It generates for you a clean customizable template with just what you need to start!"

With this tool you can download in few seconds: a standard H5BP build, a resposive one or a H5BP+Bootstrap 3.0 build.

You can tune your package: choose the Polyfill, add minified or develompent jQuery and add H5BP features (for example: IE classes, Analytics improved script, .htaccess / robots.txt / humans.txt files).

Then just click on download button and the magic happens ;)

Moreover, Initializr is an open source project hosted on Github, so everyone can download, rebuild, edit and fork: it would be nice the merging of H5BP with other frameworks like Foundation or Semantic UI.
